Welcome to the interactive web mapping application to support the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) redistricting effort to update the Board of Directors district boundaries.

As part of the BART’s effort to provide transparency and opportunities for public input, we encourage residents to submit their draft Board of Directors districts and “Communities of Interest” (COI) using GEOinovo’s online mapping tool.

A “Community of Interest” is defined by California law as “a population that shares common social or economic interests that should be included within a single district for purposes of its effective and fair representation.”

Tip for Public Map Submissions: Draft districts must be contiguous and maintain equal population size to ensure equal representation between districts.

Due to the large amount of data in this web application, GEOinovo recommends using the fastest available internet connection for the best experience. It is recommended to view the application on a desktop or laptop monitor. Mobile devices are not recommended for this application.
